HOLYSABBATH

Those who believe in the One True Creator are commanded to keep the Sabbath Day. It's an honor and a privilege to trust our Creator by resting on his appointed day.

Remember the Sabbath Day

Since the beginning.

The first thing Almighty God did after creating all things? He rested on the 7th day.

God gave mankind this day to rest and set it apart as holy, calling it our Sabbath Day. He led by example and rested on the Sabbath Day himself. He wants us to be just like him, just as he created us, after all. Right?

We don't get to choose the day we honor the Sabbath… the day has already been chosen by God, kept by his Son, and commanded to be kept forever.

Our understanding is that the 7th day Sabbath is after sunrise on Saturday until sunrise Sunday morning. We highly encourage you to search the Holy Scriptures to see all that is said about God's Sabbath Day.

God established it

"By the seventh day God completed his work which he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done."

Genesis 2:2

God Commanded it

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Adonai your God; on it you shall not do any work..."

Exodus 20:8

His children obey

"If, because of the Sabbath, you restrain your foot from doing as you wish on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a pleasure... then you will take delight in Adonai, and I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;"

Isaiah 58:13

Messiah kept it

"So [Messiah] came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and as was his custom, he entered the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read."

Luke 4:16

Messiah Commanded it

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill... not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!"

Matthew 5:17

Apostles obeyed

"Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures..."

Acts 17:2

“Imitate me, as I imitate the Messiah” — 1 Corinthians 11

God
declared it.

Messiah
lived it.

We
follow.

“And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does NOT profane it, and holds fast my covenant — these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
