Kids at Museum

After reading Ken Ham's article on Answers In Genesis, "Millennials Are Becoming Skeptics Over Old Testament Law," I felt lead to write an Open Letter as a response. Ken Ham is the president, CEO, and founder of Answers in Genesis-US. This is the same Ken Ham who debated Bill Nye on creation, founded the Creation Museum, and built the Ark Encounter. I have had the pleasure of visiting the Creation Museum and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have great respect for Ken Ham and his ministry regarding their efforts to shed light on our heavenly Father as the Creator of all things. His focus to bring the flaws of evolution, the big bang, and many other erroneous theories has had a great impact on me. I recognize Ken Ham as a brother through a mutual faith in our Messiah Yahusha (Christ Jesus) and felt it necessary out of love to write to him regarding concerns surrounding the article and AiG's doctrine.

As a former Atheist and being that I fall in the category of a Millennial, Ken's article really struck a chord with me. In some respects, he was very right about his observations, but on the other, he missed the mark. However, he only missed the mark because the Christian church today has taught scripture from a faulty hermeneutic that has caused them to forsake the truth and create contradictions and inconsistencies. Simply put, Christian doctrine has in fact created contradictions that divide the "Old Testament" for the "New Testament" while painting an incorrect image of our Creator. It is for this very reason that I chose to make this an Open letter.

I pray that everyone takes the time to thoroughly read, pray, and test the Open Letter to the whole of scripture with fear and trembling before our Almighty Elohim (Almighty God). As believers, we are called to bring such things to our brother's attention, and that is exactly what our ministry strives to do. We love Ken Ham as a brother and have great respect for many things he and his ministry have accomplished. We pray that he receives the letter with brotherly love, respect, and humility. We hope that all who read it take its warning very seriously and do not simply dismiss it with the typical defenses that have caused many to miss the truth. I assure you that every fear, concern, and disagreement can be resolved through deep study, discussion, and prayer. There is always an answer in scripture and we are more than willing to spend as much time as we can afford to help guide sincere brothers in truth. As a ministry, we do not claim to have all the answers nor are we perfect experts. There is much our Father continues to teach us daily through his perfect Word.

Please find time to read this open letter to our brother, Ken Ham. Keep in mind the truth about how believers receive salvation. Reach out to us with any and all questions and concerns. We cannot reply to everyone, but we assure you that we do our best with the time we are given.

Here is a quote from the Open Letter about receiving salvation through our Messiah as gift from our Father:

"It is important to restate that one is not saved by keeping the Torah, as there is nothing anyone can do to merit or earn salvation. Again, salvation is a free gift from our Father, not of ourselves. It is not by any works, meaning one does not keep the Torah for salvific purposes because not one person can earn salvation.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and deserve the due penalty of death. For by grace we have been saved through our faith in Messiah Yahusha. It is not our own doing, but the gift from Almighty Elohim (God). But we are his workmanship, created in Messiah Yahusha for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them! We are to walk in his perfect image—The Torah—his perfect instructions (Ephesians 2)."

With Peace, Love, and Respect.

Sean Esposito preaching

Sean is a former Atheist who was finally awoken to the reality of our Creator—which lead him to the one place he thought he would never step foot: “Bible College.” During his studies, our Heavenly Father flipped his Christian worldview upside down in order to reveal the Whole truth of His perfect Word. As a follower of Messiah Yahusha (Christ Jesus), Sean encourages believers to deepen their faith, seek the truth, test everything, and be willing to walk in the true image they were created: the image of the Most High and his flawless son.
